Saledo at the GIFT Event: Meeting the Future of Sustainable Food

This year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Food Innovation Summit, organized for the fourth time by the Food, Beverage and Agricultural Policies Research Center (GIFT). Held at Boğaziçi University’s Albert Long Hall and Demir Demirgil Halls, the event brought together over 1,000 participants.

Bringing together the most innovative brands in the food industry along with representatives from public and private sectors, academia, embassies, industry associations, and media organizations, this special event provided us the opportunity to share our vision of sustainable food and our story built around green banana flour and the innovative products we have developed from it.

What Are the Gıda Plus Awards?

The Gıda Plus Awards are a platform designed to support innovations shaping the food industry in Türkiye. The event celebrates initiatives that make a difference in sustainable production, innovative nutrition, zero-waste processes, and healthy food solutions, shining a light on the future of food.

What Happened at the Saledo Booth?

We were thrilled by the great interest shown in our booth throughout the event. We introduced visitors to both the production process and the benefits of green banana flour. We also offered tastings of our three newly completed mixes — Banana Bread MixCookie Mix, and Bread Mix — and were delighted to see how much visitors enjoyed them!

Our conversations highlighted several key themes:

  • Green banana flour as a gluten-freefiber-richpotassium- and magnesium-rich source, offering a healthy and natural alternative thanks to its resistant starch content.
  • The sustainability of our production process.
  • Saledo’s guiding philosophy: “The future of food comes from nature.”

This event was more than just a showcase — it was a space to connect with people who share our valuesexchange ideas, and find inspiration.

At Saledo, we will continue to develop innovative, nature-inspired products, make a difference with eco-friendly production processes, and give new life to bananas.

Our green banana flour is just the beginning of this journey. We remain committed to taking more sustainable, more conscious, and more innovative steps toward shaping the future of food. 🍃
