Our Story

Saledo, founded in Istanbul in 2022, is a women's initiative that produces innovative solutions in the field of sustainable food. Driven by the philosophy of "transformation, not waste," Saledo has brought a breath of fresh air to the food industry by transforming unused green bananas into nutritious, environmentally friendly, and value-added products.

Headquartered in Istanbul, our brand transforms approximately 200 tons of unused bananas grown in its 100,000 m² greenhouse in the Alanya district of Antalya into gluten-free, high-fiber, gut-friendly natural products. With crispy snacks and functional ingredients, primarily green banana flour, we aim to contribute to both individual health and sustainable eating habits.

Saledo's first product, green banana flour, stands out for its high fiber content and functional structure. Its gluten-free and digestive-friendly formula offers healthy alternatives for both personal use and the food industry. We develop clean-label products with 100% natural ingredients.

We Turn Surplus Food into Value

To prevent food waste, we transform excess and "unused" green bananas into flour and healthy snacks. In this way, we contribute to both the environment and human health. With this approach, Saledo is featured on important international platforms such as the Waste 2 Plate project and the Global Food Upcycling Map.

International Recognition and Scientific Basis

Saledo's green banana flour was featured as a model product in the Food Reformulation Guide, prepared by Wageningen University and Foodvalley in the Netherlands. This fiber-rich flour supports digestive health while adding structure and balance to foods.

Individual and Corporate Collaborations


Our brand, which launched retail sales in 2024, offers green banana flour to consumers through its website, gluten-free stores, and marketplaces. We also conduct corporate R&D and collaborations in areas such as pastry, vegan products, cosmetics, and dietary supplements.


Women's Entrepreneurship and Sustainability


Our founder, Duygu Yılmaz Köksal, prioritizes sustainable production and social benefit throughout her entrepreneurial journey. Saledo is actively involved in projects supporting women's leadership, in collaboration with platforms such as Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE), UN Women, EWA, TÜGİP, and Foodback.
