Ingredients:
· 40 g (4 tablespoons) Saledo Green Banana Flour
· 400 ml (2 cups) milk (cow's milk or plant-based milk can be used)
· 50 g (about 3.5 tablespoons) peanut butter
· 20 g (1 heaping tablespoon) sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or date syrup)
Topping (optional):
· Sliced seasonal fruit
· Chopped nuts, cocoa nibs
· Cinnamon, vanilla, shredded coconut
Instructions:
1. Add milk, green banana flour, peanut butter, and your preferred sweetener to a small saucepan.
2. Cook over low-medium heat, stirring constantly with a whisk, for 8–10 minutes until thickened.
3. If the consistency is too thick, thin it with a little milk; if you want it thicker, cook for another 1–2 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and let rest for 2–3 minutes.
5. Divide into bowls and serve with your choice of toppings.
Tips
Vegan/Dairy-free: You can prepare it entirely with plant-based milk.
Refined sugar-free: Instead of honey, you can use apple juice concentrate or mash dates that have been soaked in water.
Prep ahead: Cooked porridge keeps in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; thin with a little milk and reheat before serving.
Consistency control: For a runny consistency, add more milk; for a pudding-like consistency, add a little more banana flour.
