Gluten Free Garlic Naan Bread in a Pan

Gluten Free Garlic Naan Bread in a Pan

Oct 7, 2025

One of our favorite things to try in the kitchen is adding small touches to familiar flavors. When we combined the delicious aroma of garlic butter with Green Banana Flour, we ended up with such soft and delicious naan bread that we were surprised ourselves.

Serve it warm at breakfast, pair it with soup for dinner... This recipe is both practical and nutritious, perfect for any meal. We loved it, and we're sure you will too.

The first bite will give you the aroma of garlic, followed by the lightness of the banana flour, making you think, “I'm so glad I tried this.”

Ingredients:

  • 100 g (1 + 1/3 teacup) Saledo Green Banana Flour
  • 10 g (2 heaping teaspoons) psyllium husk
  • 2 g (½ teaspoon) salt
  • 15 ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 125 ml (½ cup + 2 tablespoons / 1 teacup) water
  • 6g (1 large clove) garlic
  • 5g (5–6 sprigs) parsley
  • 90g (6 tablespoons) butter

Preparation:

1.      Place the green banana flour, psyllium husk and salt in a bowl.

2.     Add warm water and olive oil, then mash with a spatula to form a dough. Knead with your hands if necessary.

3.     Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 5–10 minutes.

4.     Meanwhile, prepare the garlic butter by adding grated garlic and chopped parsley to the room temperature butter.

5.     Take the rested dough onto the countertop, sprinkle cornstarch, and roll it out with a rolling pin.

6.     Cut out round shapes and set them aside (you can use a bowl or mold).

7.     Cook the breads on both sides in a preheated nonstick pan.

8.     Spread the prepared garlic butter on the hot naan and serve.

💡 Using starch when rolling out the dough prevents sticking and minimizes cracking. If you find it difficult to shape, you can add 1 more tablespoon of water.
