Giving Banana Peels a New Life: Upcycling-Focused R&D

During the production of green banana flour and banana chips, the peels are not used in the process and therefore emerge as a natural by-product. At Saledo, we carry out upcycling-focused R&D to prevent these peels from turning into waste and to make the most of this valuable natural resource.

By transforming banana peels, we are developing natural peeling products, scrub formulations, and plant-based soap prototypes. In this way, the by-products generated during food production are turned into sustainable personal care solutions.

This approach is a natural extension of Saledo’s vision of “giving bananas a new life.” Our goal is to create innovative solutions that convert waste into resources, contribute to environmental well-being, and expand the diversity of sustainable products.
