A New Perspective on Food Through Upcycling: Saledo Receives the Green Food Company of the Year Award

We are honored to receive the Green Food Company of the Year Award, presented as part of the Green Awards organized by Boğaziçi University BUEC– Boğaziçi University IEEE Student Branch under the umbrella of Boğaziçi University.

This award is not merely a symbol of success for us;it is a meaningful recognition of our approach that treats food as a valuable resource and of our journey toward production in harmony with nature.

We set out believing that bananas rejected due to their appearance actually hold great potential. Today, by transforming these bananas into functional and value-added products in our own greenhouse, we are building a production model that respects both food and nature.

This award demonstrates that:

• using resources more responsibly,
• creating added value through upcycling,
• and adopting an environmentally centered approach to foodare becoming increasingly visible and appreciated.

We would like to thank all our stakeholders, partners, academics, advisors, and young people who believe in and support us on this journey.
