Saledo is a women's initiative founded in 2022. Starting with the production of green banana flour; It aims to produce healthy, delicious and natural products in sustainable food sector. Saledo, which set out to upcycle some of the bananas grown in its own 100,000 m2 greenhouse in Antalya / Alanya, is a brand that has adopted the principle of sustainability.
After more than a year of R&D studies, laboratory analyzes and examining samples, we discovered the potential of green bananas, the raw form of bananas. This discovery resulted in a product called green banana flour. Green banana flour is a gluten-free, rich in resistant starch, potassium and magnesium which makes it a functional flour alternative obtained by peeling, chopping, dehydrating and then grinding it.
Saledo is more than just a food brand, it is an initiative that focuses on social responsibilities. Their memberships in prestigious organizations such as UN (United Nations) Women, EWA (Empowering Women in Agrifood), TÜGİP (Turkish Food Innovation Platform) and Foodvalley in Wageningen University emphasize the company's commitment to sustainability and women's entrepreneurship .
As of January 2024, Saledo entered the retail industry by offering green banana flour. It continues its sales through marketplaces, stores selling gluten-free and functional products, and its own website. At the same time, it continues its R&D studies to strengthen corporate sales and collaborations in the pastry, food supplement, cosmetics, meat and vegan sectors.
